About the event
This 1-hour coaching course is designed to equip grassroots coaches with key skills for delivering effective and enjoyable football sessions for young players. The course will cover three essential areas:
Session Planning: Learn how to structure a football session with clear objectives that suit different age groups and abilities. Coaches will gain insights into creating a balanced session that includes warm-up, skill development, and fun, game-based activities that align with long-term player development.
Communication with Children: Effective communication is key to keeping children engaged and motivated. This segment will focus on using positive language, clear instructions, and appropriate feedback to create an encouraging learning atmosphere. Coaches will explore ways to adapt their communication to suit different ages and learning styles.
Creating an Engaging Environment: A fun and engaging environment is crucial for fostering a love for the game. Coaches will learn techniques to keep children interested, focused, and excited to participate. This includes tips on varying activities, maintaining a lively pace, and using games that challenge players while ensuring they enjoy themselves.
By the end of the session, coaches will leave with practical tools to plan dynamic sessions, communicate effectively with young players, and cultivate an engaging environment that promotes learning and enjoyment of football.
